About Bubba Wallace Jr.

William Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr., born on October 8, 1993, is synonymous with talent, determination, and success in professional stock car racing. As an integral part of the NASCAR Cup Series, Bubba pilots the No. 23 Toyota Camry for 23XI Racing and takes the wheel of the No. 1 Toyota Tundra in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series part-time.

His journey into professional Racing began as a development driver in Toyota's elite driver development program, making his mark with Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series and Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Camping World Truck Series. A transition to Ford's development program saw him compete fiercely for Roush Fenway Racing, further showcasing his skills and determination.

Bubba's big break came when he was selected as an injury replacement for Aric Almirola, driving the renowned No. 43 for Richard Petty Motorsports. This opportunity paved the way for a full-time position with RPM when Almirola moved on, marking his first permanent ride in the Cup Series.

But Bubba's influence reaches beyond the track. As the only full-time African American driver in NASCAR's three national series, he is unique in the sport's history. His triumphs include being the only African American driver with more than one win in these series, solidifying his place as one of NASCAR's most prosperous African American drivers.
