About Austin Cindric

Austin Cindric is an American professional stock car racing driver. He is the son of Tim Cindric, President of Penske Racing, a well-known American professional auto racing team.

Born on September 2, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio, Austin Cindric began his career in various forms of road racing, including the Global RallyCross Championship, IMSA, ARCA, and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. A diversity of experience marked his early career, as he drove a variety of vehicles in many different types of racing series.

In 2017, Cindric began competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, where he earned his first win at the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. His performance in the Truck Series eventually led him to the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

He raced full-time for Team Penske in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and won the 2020 Xfinity Series Championship. He was also set to move to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022, driving the No. 2 Ford Mustang for Team Penske.
